ESIP offers, in partnership with EFAP — École des Nouveaux Métiers de la Communication, a leading French communication school founded in 1970, member of Groupe EDH, present across 10 campuses in France and several international cities — a Bachelor in Communication structured around an integrated 2+1 pathway.
EFAP is a global communication school. It trains professionals capable of working across the full spectrum of corporate communication, marketing, digital, press relations, events communication and media — including journalism, addressed as a distinct specialisation within a broader skills foundation. This versatility is precisely what sets graduates apart in a job market that demands adaptable profiles capable of mastering the entire communication chain.
The first two years take place on the ESIP campus in Pondicherry, in full alignment with EFAP's syllabi and pedagogical standards. Students acquire the fundamentals of corporate communication, marketing, brand culture, media relations and content production. Intensive practice in both French and English is integrated from year one. Pondicherry's Franco-Indian bicultural environment provides from the outset a unique observation ground for communication dynamics across contrasting cultural contexts — a directly transferable asset in international communication careers.
The third year takes place on an EFAP campus in France. Students deepen their training through theoretical and practical courses delivered predominantly by active industry professionals — agencies, media groups, communication firms — complemented by concrete projects for partner companies and a 6-month internship or international study semester. Journalism training includes modules on media, audiovisual production, TV programme creation, video recording and editing, and digital media, with access to the school's newsrooms and radio/TV studios. The EFAP School Diploma — Bac+3 — 180 ECTS is awarded upon completion of this year.
Upon application, students may extend their studies over a 4th and 5th year — with strategic deepening and work-study options — and obtain a Specialised MBA from a choice of more than 20 options in the 5th year, leading to a Bac+5 qualification. ESIP provides local academic coordination and student support throughout the programme.
