Alexandre Delode
Lecturer and Researcher in Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence

Alexandre Delode is an engineer and mathematician, a graduate of CentraleSupélec (Université Paris-Saclay), complemented by a Master's degree in mathematics from the Université d'Aix-Marseille — a rare dual background bridging engineering and pure mathematics. He is currently conducting doctoral research in artificial intelligence at the University of Cyprus.
His teaching covers the full quantitative foundation — algebra, analysis, probability, statistics and numerical analysis — through to the most current methods in artificial intelligence and machine learning: from random forests and gradient boosting to deep neural networks, from theory to implementation in Python, R and C++. Drawing on his engineering background, he also teaches automation, electronics and signal processing.
His research focuses on artificial intelligence applied to automatic control and electricity markets: stochastic control, sequential decision-making models under incomplete information and optimisation for energy market modelling.
Before dedicating himself to teaching and research, he built a ten-year international career in renewable energy projects — network modelling, design of onshore and offshore wind farms and solar power plants — at leading organisations including ENGIE Tractebel, ENERCON and EDF R&D, across projects in some ten countries.
At ESIP, Alexandre Delode teaches mathematics and artificial intelligence by placing students at the heart of the quantitative methods that drive decision-making today: mathematical modelling, machine learning and data science. A rigorous programme, directly connected to technological and economic realities, in service of an international career in quantitative finance, consulting, data science or engineering.
